11-87: is this a good deal to you?
Saw a used Remington 11-87 with a ~21" rifled slug barrel(cantilever scope base) and a Nikon 3-9 BDC reticle Slugmaster scope on it FO $550.
Condition was lightly used...maybe never hunted with. They were asking $550. At first that seemed normal to me, but I would probable sell the scope, which makes it seem cheap to me. Your thoughts? |

Looks to me like a great deal. Is the 21" slug barrel a extra barrel or is this just a slug gun?

Nathan, it sounds to me like a great deal as long as the condition is as you say.
I have always loved the 11-87! Great shotgun!

As long as you only want the barrel it comes with the 11-87 is a great gun.
The cost of 11-87 barrels is what made me sell mine. |

Just so yo know, that barrel will not cycle the action with light field loads. They are designed for heavy 2 3/4" or 3" magnums only. Which is fine as long as you understand that. If you are looking for an all around gun it is not a good choice unless you buy a separate barrel for it that is designed for light loads.

Yes, that is a great deal. Pounce on it. After you sell the scope youll be able to buy a nice amount of slugs with that $
