Deer hunting 4" 44

Does anyone have any experience deer hunting with a 4" 44 mag.? I am considering getting a Taurus ultralite Mod. 444 44 mag. I currently hunt with a 4" Taurus tracker 357mag. and have had good results. I am just thinking of going up in the power department. I like the way the 4" barrels handles. Any comments good , bad or different is welcome.

I also like the way the shorter barrel handles. My Redhawk has a 5-1/2" barrel and it is very easy to hold and use. As far as energy goes, you will sacrifice some from the shorter barrel, but it should be adequate to 100 yds, as long as you can hold it.

plenty of power

Be judicial in the shot range. Open range shots give you a decision making opportunity; woodland areas actually put a hunter in a situation to effectively utilize the handgun.
