Aimpoint Comp M4S VS T1 Red Dot Sights
For those of you who have tried both the Aimpoint Comp M4S and T1 Red Dot Sights, which of the two do you personally prefer? And why?Which has a better field of view, clearer red dot,and has quicker target acquisition?Which among the two also is more reliable and more rugged? You see,I am thinking which among these two red dot sights to get for my M4 carbine.
Thanks in advance. |

Aimpoint Comp M4S VS T1 Red Dot Sights
I prefer the T1 because of its size.
Which has a bigger FOV? It doesn't matter because you don't use them like a scope. However, I do feel like the T1 has less material in front of me so I feel like I see more. Which is clearer dot? They are the same. Which one has quickest target acquisition? Well, that depends entirely on you. If you compare both of them having the same size dot then it should be the same. Which is more robust? They are both Aimpoints, good luck breaking either. In the end, just decide if you want something bigger or smaller hanging on your gun. Everything else is the same. Do you really need the night vision compatibility? Last edited by allaroundhunter; September 10, 2013 at 06:57 AM. |

I have a CompM4 (not the s) on one rifle and a Micro T-1 on another.
Advantages of CompM4: Larger tube Compatible with Killflash Uses AA battery Looks neater Lines up a little better with a magnifier Advantages of Micro T-1: Smaller Lighter Cheaper In terms of capability they're even. Both are rugged, have insane battery life (the CompM4's battery life isn't just insane, but ridiculously so), and will do everything a person wants a red dot sight to do. I'd probably recommend that if somebody doesn't need the NV settings to just get a Micro H-1 on a LaRue mount and be done with it. Checking the LaRue Tactical site, with mount the H-1 is $608, the T-1 is $649, and the M4s is $757. If money is a consideration at all, the H-1 is the winner there (assuming no NV settings needed) in my opinion... if money isn't a real consideration, all are great units and all will serve well. |
