Looking for holster for old Lemon Squeezer
I have an old Smith & Wesson Safety hammerless 38 (4th model). It's a nice looking gun that shoots well. I carry it occasionally off duty. I'm having the barrel shortened to two inches and was wondering if it would fit well in modern holsters made for other 38s (like a 38 special?). Right now I only carry it in a Maxpedition pack, but I want more holster options, maybe a pocket holster.

Welcome to TFL. I must tip my hat to anyone who carries a lemon squeezer. If you like, check out my links below. I may be able to assist you in your holster search. Thanks.

Any J frame holster will work fine for your revolver. The lemon squeezer is a nice piece. I'm also old school, I carry a 36 2" chief for 30 + years. Be Safe Chris

Suggest perusing egunparts...
on the off chance they have a shorter barrel and leave the original as is.
Might consider making your own pocket hoster, the Uncle Mike's seem to be straight forward design. Think there 's another thread on TFL that indicated that new defense ammo is coming for the .38S&W. |

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I normally carry a Glock 26 off-duty or in plain clothes, but my Lemon Sqeezer is too cool not to carry once in a while. Some of the younger guys on my department have never seen an old top break revolver and the pearl grips are a nice touch.
