What is this? Meat tenderizer P226

I was browsing around google image search checking out some other P226 and ran into this crazy looking thing. Any idea what the point of this is?

I believe, and mind you I am not a 'tacti-cool' guy, that that meat tenderizer on the front of the pistol is to serve 2 purposes;

1) Prevent the potential aggressor from using their palm to press against the muzzle and throwing the pistol out of battery, thus preventing it from going off, and

2) When pressing the pistol against someone's clothing, prevents it from sliding off of their person.

I personally have no need for such things and view it as a novel solution to a problem seldom encountered, but that is my two cents...

Meh... Looks like an airsoft gun to me. Real P226s don't have seams running down the center of the frame.

Very good eye indeed! (to all) I still stand by my previous comment should that have been a real firearm.

Just because it is an airsoft does not mean that the accessory isn't real.

If you think some guys with ARs can get carried away with Tacticool, Mall Ninja stuff...

Airsoft guys are even worse.

They will buy anything that makes the gun look "cooler"... Practicality is not a considered matter.

Someone was making custom 1911's with a front end 'meat tenderizer' like that back around 2003-2004. Can't remember who but I remember reading about it in a gun mag at the time.

I think they claimed it would be more effective to bludgeon someone with that front muzzle instead of using the butt of the weapon, and possibly damaging the magazine.

CZ started it first with their tactical block/bayonet mount. Kinda a novelty piece. But hey... I would've probably got one if I went with a Shadow SP-01 over a 1911.

Their reason for the spikes @ the bottom were to assist in glass breaking apparently.

All kinds of goofy handgun add ons:

Built in brass knuckles and the 'skull crusher' spike on the main spring housing.

I've seen the pic of that knuckleduster several times and it always makes me smile. It's obviously a photo-shop but if I could find something like that for a couple of hundred bucks I'd buy it for show and tell.

My favorite gun photoshop is the Glock Gangster Edition (with the sights on the side of the slide).

My favorite non-photoshop is the guy who built the Hello Kitty AR-15 for his wife. I think there are still photos floating around on the web, but I think he had to take down the originals due to a letter from the Hello Kitty corporation.

That rifle started the pink gun revolution.

On the upside, who cares what color it is if it gets more hot chix shooting??

My Wifey was not immune to the lure of Pink Guns...this is her Marlin 60 in a pink stained Boyd's thumbhole stock.
WARNING: do not shoot against her, you will loose, and you will be totally embarrassed

And at IPSC, if you see a redhead in pink camo rockin this pink Taurus 24/7 Pro-C...just walk away...
she might look all sweet & innocent, but she's a retired USMC Gunny & evil as they come
