An interesting gun, with an interesting provenance - except that, according to Ruger, that ROA (SN 140-17313) was made in 1973.

No loading handle. Looks like a custom trigger too. Interesting. Sounds neat how you got it back.... Only one thing .... Very old? '72-73 isn't very old . I was 8 years old then .... Not that long ago ... Or so it seems . Now 1872 ... that's old .

Interesting gun, interesting story.
I bought two ROAs at Friendship in 1971. They were around a long time. Sad production was stopped.
