Black tarnish?
How do y'all get the black tarnish discoloration out of brass?

Wet tumble with stainless steel pins is one way.

When you tumbled them did you use any additive to the media? (polish, simple green etc?)

Black tarnish can be removed by dry "tumbling" in a vibratory machine, but it takes longer than the ordinary discoloration characteristic of fired brass. As hinted in an earlier post, addition of a mild abrasive to the tumbling media will help.
I have learned to live with the occasional dark stains; I don't have the patience necessary for their complete removal. The stains will disappear after several trips through the vibrator. Maybe someone will suggest a mild acid bath that will get rid of these stains in less than an hour...

How about 3 min in CLR then rinse well. tumble after they are dry.

I added nufinish to the tumbler but didn't turn it back to brass color
|
