Knock off Hi Power safety troubles

Hey all...

A friend of my wife got her first pistol for Christmas, a knock-off of the Browning Hi Power. Unfortunately, it has the tiny original thumb safety, which is hard for the lady to operate. Any suggestions for replacing it?

HR, the only replacement I know of is C&S Combat. Brownells sells the safety and I believe it will require fitting. www.brownells.com The other option is to have a smith silver solder an extension onto the stock safety. George
