Will this madness never end?
My "buddy" the gun pusher called me on Saturday and told me that he was liberating a few handguns from his personal collection. I trundled down to the store today and left with this:
A little holster wear near the muzzle and ejector, but an extra .22 Mag cylinder. I think that it looks pretty good for a 44 year old Frontier Scout. Even my wife thought that it was a pretty fine purchase. She wasn't so happy about the Colt Officer's 1911, but I guess I'll work that off in jewelry.

I have one of those, but with the longer barrel. They are fun to shoot. Kudos.

Hardcase,
My uncle started out on a Ruger revolver just like that Colt. In fact until I looked close at the photo and read the post, I thought it might be the same model. Your photo brough back memories.

It'll be great fun. My brother had a Ruger Super Single Six when we were kids (well, high-school), unfortunately; it was stolen years ago when he took it off to college.
I bought him a Heritage Arms (money being a bit tight at the moment ) single action .22LR this Christmas, it's been a "blast". (pun intended) |

I finally broke down and went over to the indoor range. What a kick in the pants! I must have looked like a little kid with his first cap gun. Why, I could picture in my mind ol' Black Bart and his band of desperadoes in the sights of my deadly Colt...
I must have gone through 300 rounds last night. Holy cats that was fun!

There is just something about a single action Colt that makes you feel eight years old.

It never ends.
These three date to the early to mid 60's. My daughter shot the two blued ones her first couple years in Cowboy Action Shooting, one of which was my first handgun.
