What's the easiest way to remove plastic wad residue from a barrel?? I tend to put 300 - 500 rounds a week through my Citori and have noticed that there is a noticeable amount of residue in it.

I usually only run a mop down the barrels once a week or so to remove any powder residue. It's only recently that I realized the plastic had been building up.

Any thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated.

TIA,

Mike

The Boresnake I recently got seems to do the job, tho serious buildups might take elbow grease, a bronze brush and plenty of Hoppe's.

Whatever you do use, it needs to be done. Bad patterns are just the start.Corrosion flourishes under that plastic, and so on.
