When I edit my post there is a little message that pops up at the bottom stating that "message edited by.....". Every once in a while I see some edited post that have a different message. Things like "edited because I can't spell", or "edited because I didn't think". some sort of personalized comment. My question is how do I do this? I haven't been able to locate a spot that allows this...

I think you might be seeing a blurb written by the person editing the post. They probably make it look like a system message but it isn't. The only automatic message is the one you first noted - "edited by .... "
