I'm new to batons as a defensive tool. It seems ASP are the favorite but what size and weight. For it would high unlikely I would need to use it (am not LEO) and would like to carry as unobtrusively as possible in the back pocket of my jeans (is that possible?). I note the collapsed size determines the extended size. What should I get. My primary concern for defensive use are dogs.
