Chaparral arms......

Anybody know anything about them?? I bought a '73 Winchester rifle about two months ago in the .45 Colt and its flawless and shoots good. Brother bought a '76 Winchester in the 50.90 and broke the extractor on the first shot and cannot get them to respond to emails. Are they even still in buisness?? Both were new bought from a place in Abilene Texas. Havnt tried calling them yet for parts imfromation.

I hope I am wrong, but from what I've heard they went out of business some time ago.
