Japanese Type 94

Help!

I purchased a group of guns recently. I this group was a type 94 semi auto pistol. I cannot get it to cock back. When I pull the handle back, it only slides back about two inches. I have tried removing the screws, trigger and everything else I can in order to get the slide back far enough to removed the pin. I have had no sucess. Can anybody give me some advice on how to take this gun apart and get it functional again?

Thanks
Jeremy
