New AR-15: Stag Model 2

Alrighty! Not too long a wait. About 6 weeks and change for my new Stag Model 2 to come in. ARs are still pretty hard to come by here in CT. Of course, by Law of Murphy, I was traveling when I got the call from my gun dealer. Had to wait an extra 4 days to pick it up. I haven't traveled for work in the past 6 weeks and it had to arrive while I was away, of course. Go figure.

Anyway, below is my offering to the Photo Gods that watch over TFL.

I thought it was a nice touch that they included a golf towel in there. How did they know my other hobby? Now, if it had only come with a set of Kimber Kables for my 2-channel audio set-up, it would be the perfect gun.

I'm itchin' to hit the range (both gun and driving).

Hehehe...One of the advantages of living in CT, I guess. The owner of the gun store is really tight with the fellas at Stag and gets orders filled pretty quickly in this market. He originally promised me 2-3 weeks for delivery, but apparently some folks at Stag went on vacation and they got even more backlogged than they already are.

Great choice!! I bought my Model 3 about 2 months ago and absolutely love it! Great shooter and 100% so far. I overpaid a bit (I'll never tell how much ) to beat the wait, but I've enjoyed it and expect to never sell it, so I'm happy!
Now I'm saving for some optics (probably Eotech...not sure yet) and with the grips and buttstock I've added (left from an unfinished project), I'll be done. Not really a "pimped out" kinda guy...

Here's mine:

Nice rifle, 2cooltoolz. I'm not a "tacticool" guy either, but I can see going down the rabbit hole of customizing this thing to no end. For now, I'm pretty happy with the stock config, but while I prefer irons I also envision optics in the near future for longer range shooting.

I have a Model 3 and done a few changes to it. Since buying it I've put a extractor up grade kit into it, a "H" buffer, with a magpul CTR butt stock, enlarged trigger guard, Troy drop in forearm, Yankee Hill iron sights, Phantom flash suppressor, Primary Arms 1x -4x scope, Magpul vertical forearm and soft Ergo grip. One reason I went with the extractor upgrade kit was when i shot Wolf ammo it sometimes wouldn't extract the fired case. Now it's 100% with anything that I've have feed it so far. I wouldn't trade or sell it for anything.
