Load data for 700X loading slugs... NEED HELP!

12 gauge with 1oz. standard Lee slugs? I was very excited to obtain my new Lee slug mold, and a buddy and I cast about 60 slugs last night. Problem is I can't find data for slug loads using 700x. I have a lot Winchester AA hulls I was hoping to use, but if needed I can obtain other hulls- I just really want to use 700x besause I've got quite a bit on hand. ANY help would be much appreciated.

Not looking for a crazy accurate hunting shotshell, just something for fun the range.

Sorry Richard, can not help with Shotgun loads.

But I used 700X for over twenty years, .32 S&W/9mm/.38 Special/.45ACP, the most consistent (and cheap!) powder I ever used. Load in .32S&W, 90g swaged wad cutter lead projectile! 1.4g! 25m, incredibly accurate!

My thought's, use a reloading manual, load one of your slugs with half a suggested measure of 700X. Just one, build your own from there.

Before you take the above advice, which I might do, check further!

Any more intelligent Shot Gun people out there? I only use factory.

1. 700X is a fast burning powder meant for target loads.
2. Slug loads are magnum loads with a solid projectile at high velocity.
This is not a good match.
Could you develop a 1100 fps slug load with 700X? Apparently. There are some guidelines but not recipes at:

CAUTION: I have not done any of that, just doing your Googling for you.

I'm with brit, I can't help with shot gun info, but I do use 700x to load .45colt 200, and 250 gr Lfn bullets in my 1860 henry rifle. It's a excellent powder though. sorry I can't be more help.

Then why are you asking? Use the loads you found.

OK, I get it, you miss typed, forgot the 't as in can't. Usually just replacing the shot with a slug will work, BUT the slug will be UNDER the velocity of the shot load. Since the lee slugs are meant to go in a target type wad, it's real easy to simply replace the shot with the lee slug.

You can even then star crimp the load.CAUTION! Make damn sure you indelibly label those star crimped loads so they don't get shot at a bird or during a trap shoot.
