For $5 I made my 650's just as smooth as my LNL's and they never need indexing adjustment.

Changing calibers on these progressive machines isn't that big a deal...especially if you have what Dillon calls the quick change kit....where you have a tool head set up with dies in it ...and a powder measure installed ..
so when I change calibers...I change out the case holder, the parts for the case feeder...and if necessary the primer feed.../ clean and lube the press ( especially if I ran a few thousand rounds in the previous caliber ) ...and install the new calibers tool head...and associated parts for the case feeder ( it probably takes about 20 min ) ...to get everything ready and up and running. I just did it the other day ...converting from 9mm to .357 mag ( which happen to be the calibers I shoot the most / or at least lately anyway... ). |

This is what I do for the case snap into place problem. Doesn't require any thrust wahers or modification of the detent spring. |
