Do you use case feeders?

For $5 I made my 650's just as smooth as my LNL's and they never need indexing adjustment.

Changing calibers on these progressive machines isn't that big a deal...especially if you have what Dillon calls the quick change kit....where you have a tool head set up with dies in it ...and a powder measure installed ..

so when I change calibers...I change out the case holder, the parts for the case feeder...and if necessary the primer feed.../ clean and lube the press ( especially if I ran a few thousand rounds in the previous caliber ) ...and install the new calibers tool head...and associated parts for the case feeder ( it probably takes about 20 min ) ...to get everything ready and up and running.

I just did it the other day ...converting from 9mm to .357 mag ( which happen to be the calibers I shoot the most / or at least lately anyway... ).

A thrust bearing and two washers.

This is the part number for the bearing.

They go between the shell plate and bolt like this.

This is what I do for the case snap into place problem. Doesn't require any thrust wahers or modification of the detent spring.

Haha I feel ya there, instead of doung something mechanical to change the press he just holds the casing that was just charged with a little pressure on the downstroke to keep it from slapping around loose. Uses his finger to sort of cushion the casing so to speak. Doesn't look like a bad idea but that's just another thing to occupy yourself with. I like the thrust bearing idea
