What is the best follower in an AR magazine?
I was browsing the AR mag section on Cheaper than dirt. Some of the mags had green followers others orange, etc.
Does it really matter? If so, which is best?

Don't know, but Magpul P-mags seem to be the best AR mags out there right now and they are cheap.

the green arent terrible, never had any others(orange/black/etc)...
but Magpul followers(gen II) go in all of my USGI mags and are much better than the green.i think they have a gen III now,but i havent tried them and the gen II are great. the Pmags come with them. im pretty sure if you're going to stick with what comes in them...go with the green.but changing them out for Magpuls is by far the best way to go that im aware of. http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=sho...product_id=313 btw-CTD is high on mags... check out G&R,44Mag,Rainier,or Bravo company for D&H USGI mags or P-mags. Rainier may be a little high on the D&H but decent on the Pmags IIRC and nothings changed.

correction...
the followers that come in the PMAGs are a little different than the ones for USGI mags. work just as well though...maybe better with the inner design of the PMAG.

Magpul followers are showing up in more and more magazines. The AR-Stoner magazines selling for $10 each at MidwayUSA now have Magpul followers.

What is the best follower in an AR magazine?
Hi,
I installed the green followers I got from Brownells in my 30 rd mags. They seem to be very stable and working very nice even in the very bad practice after market mags. |
