Explosive?
None of my resources list an explosive bullet as having ever been made. Tracer yes. .30 Remington you should be able to find at just about any gunshow.

Good luck on the exploding stuff.
It was SERIALIZED! Every stinking round.
Stuff that wasn't shot up in either experimentation or research was destroyed by fire under supervision of a commissioned officer. They were some brilliant idea that didn't make the transition from concept to reality. .30 Remington? You might call Midway. Or Old Western Scrounger. If all fails, get some .30-30 and a small lathe. Turn off the rims and cut an extractor groove. Just the perfect project for a long winter evening when it's too cold for beer and all the channels have re-runs.

.30 Remington
How many pieces of the .30 Remington brass do you need? I have some, and every now and then, Remington tools up and makes the ammo for folks still using their autoloading Model 8/81 rifles, and pump 14/141 rifles.
