1988 Caspian/Curtis Custom 1911
Howdy from Lake Tahoe. New member and a long time lurker.
I recently acquired an older Caspian framed 1911. It has a compensator, and a Wichita rear sight. I contacted Caspian today (really friendly & happy to answer questions!) and they told me that this frame was made in 1988 and shipped to Curtis Custom in El Reno, Ok. On top of the frame, it's stamped with "MLJ 88". I'm just wondering if anyone here knows anything about Curtis Custom (The Caspian folks informed me that "he" is no longer with us.) and maybe who "MLJ" might be? Thanks in advance! Larry "Ferg" |

The better place to ask would be the Semi Auto forum.

Vintage Caspian with a comp may have been used in IPSC or Steel Challenge, so a competition forum is a good place to start. Also might ask on a competition-oriented board like the Enos forum. No clue about MLJ.
