Sharpes rifle variations

I loaned my Sharpes book out over a decade ago and it hasnt found its way home yet. Can anyone tell me the difference in the 1863-1868 Sharpes and the famous model 1874? I am wondering what internal parts were different. The external look the same with the obivious different barrel and stock variations.

All I know is that the 1863 is a paper cutter and the 1874 is metal cartridge.

Thanks BUZZ but the Sharpes 1863-1868 is a conversion from a linen cartridge gun to a centerfire 50-70 cartridge. These civil was guns were converted after the war to be used by the calvary out west. My query was to furture my knowledge on Sharpes rifles. From outside appearances both 1863-68 and 1974 appear identical.
