Bullet Puller Collets

Are the collet's interchangeable between different brands of pullers. I don't like the kenetic pullers and want a press mounted one and can't find the same brand collets in stock.

I just went through the same deal last month. Ordered a Hornady puller from Midway -- but out of collets. Instead of backordering them, I went to Hornady's site and it still took nearly a month to get them.

No, don't think they're interchangeable from one brand to another.

Oh yeah, the Hornady puller works really well.

Just wondering why you don't like the kinetic pullers? Not going to try to talk you in to one, just curious. Everyone has their opinions on them.

I have both the kinetic puller and the hornady press puller, I use the kinetic on pistol ammo, but find the hornady a better choice for rifle rounds.

Pulling a lot of bullets out of 8MM Mauser military ammo to use non magnetic bullets for the range is easier with the press mounted puller. Whew, long sentence!

I don't know if they're interchangable with a Forster collet puller but I say, buy a collet puller once & you've got it for life. Just add the collets you need for each caliber. No more whackin n bangin.

No, they're not interchangeable - not a single brand will work in another's puller.

You have to stick with the brand you chose.
