Help with a Smith & Wesson serial # please...(I DO OWN THE BOOK)

I own the book but my wife rearranged everything and now I can not find it. It is probably packed away in storage under 100 pounds of furniture we dont even need anymore lol. I am looking for year of production on a Smith & Wesson 5906 9mm Serial # THC5xxx any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Best bet is to google Smith & Wesson. Give them the serial number over the phone. They give it to you right then and there. Most gun manufacturers do.

The "book" is not at all clear on semi-autos (revolvers, yes). I don't have a copy....but I checked one closely in a local bookstore about a week ago (concerning a 3rd gen. Smith semi-auto I have)....and came up short. The book does show general years of production for all of the semi-auto models, but very little about specific serial # range/ production dates. The 5906 may be an exception on this, I don't know, but I wouldn't hold my breath....

I would just contact S&W directly. That is what I did.

the standard catalog lists the numbers THA1016 through TVC7046 were made in 1991.
