Smith & Wesson 9mm Revolver 940

I was thinking about getting rid of my S&W 9mm revolver model 940
Any Idea what these are going for. Mine is in good shape ZERO issues.
I don't have the box for it, and a set of moon clips.

Nice little revolver, they command quite a premium over a typical .38 special. You should be able to get $600-900 judging by what's sold recently on Gunbroker.

Smith & Wesson 9mm Revolver 940

I sold one through my LGS and was able to walk away with $700. It was like new.

You may want to check to check out the Smith and Wesson forum as there is a lot of interest in 940s over there.

Local pawn shop here has one like you described - except he wants 1200...

It will sit for a while

thanks for the advice. this will help me get started. I was looking at gunbroker, Not sure I want to sell it, but I really don't shoot it. I hate that it just sits in the safe.

Shoot it and enjoy it - if it is already used, a few more down the pipe will not detract from the value and might convince you to keep it and shoot it more often
