Hornady LnL AP Progressive and Single Stage owners. We have success.
I have been told by several people that I couldn't take a die that was set up for my Hornady LnL AP Progressive and just drop it into a Hornady LnL Single Stage press without needing to make adjustments to the die.
I just attempted it with my newly acquired single stage and there is only 0.001" difference between the 2. This was using a Hornady 45 shellholder and a Hornady .45ACP seating die. I'll test my other calibers tonight when I get back from work. Hornady shellholders are 0.136" thick from where the shell rests to the point where it makes contact with the top of the ram compared to 0.127" for Lee and 0.124" for RCBS. I am only comparing .45ACP shellholders which I currently have on hand. Last edited by thump_rrr; August 12, 2013 at 06:33 AM. |
