Not Another Mosin Question
I wasn't sure whether to put this in the Rifle Forum or here but obviously I ended up here.
Anyway when I bought my 91/30 a couple weeks ago it came with 2 belt ammo packs (one had an oiler bottle in it) that were so stiff I never did get one of them to open. I assume this is due to age but... I don't exactly know what they are made of but I think its some sort of heavy canvas like material. Anyone know how to soften them up?

Here's a possibility....... http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1217184.aspx If not, those things are cheap to buy (on Ebay and other sites).
