or JB Weld...
I had a Carcano that did that to every casing. Even factory ammo... chamber was perfectly clean and everything. Even 4 gunsmiths couldnt even figure out the problem.

That came up somewhere else just recently. Can't recall if it was on this board or not, but the brass was not thick in the usual places. Long thick taper up from the head to the separation point, mid case. I think the brand was Centurian? What is your's?

Looks about the right length to be converted into a .45 ACP case.

I was just wondering if neck sizing would help fix the brass problem. One of my 243's does that, although not as bad as youre discribing. Lifting up the size die helped it. I should get it fixed, but this worked for me.

Now if the original .44 Automag was cut down .308 brass, then you should make some .44 AutoSpecial with the ones you have!

What rifle was that shot out of? A PTR91/H&K type? Dont they have the fluted chambers? I was looking at a PTR91 until I found out about some having fluted chamers. I seen a fired brass, and noticed the longitudinal line/markings on the brass. I figured that cant be any good for reloading? can it? And that perticular brass looks like it had that type of markings until resized????
