remington pietta arrived

monday 20th the four 1858 remington revolvers arrived packed secure and unharmed.
i'm very impressed with the outward apperarence of these fireams.
fit and finish is superb. action is smooth & lock-up good. wood is nicely figured.
these firearms rival anything i have encountered out of italy.
my friend shot his two and reported they shot poa but with poi a little low at 20yds using 20 G FFG & .451 ball.
cabela's booklet suggest using .451 ball, pietta booklet suggest using .454

we will be using these for CAS this spring and hopefully .454 ball with 25G FFG will raise the POI.

I think you might find you have to file down the front sights as well.

Yeah, the Remington front sights are tall to allow file correction of POI.
