I need a bolt for my Rem 700.
Being a victim of Murphy, I need a bolt for my .308 win Rem 700 bolt action Rifle.
Money isn't really an issue, I'd like a good accurate bolt. At 200 yards with the factory bolt it came with, I had no problems putting every round inside of a 1"x1" diamond. Anyone know of a good bolt or should I stick with the factory bolt? |

I might be wrong but if you change bolts don't you have to adjust headspace?

Take the rifle to a gunsmith or send it back to Remington for a new bolt. The headspace on your rifle might have to be reset with a new bolt. Might be time to think about doing some more custom work since you are going to have to get a new bolt.
PT&G has new bolts for M700 rifles.

Pacific Tool and Guage makes a nice bolt, but as aforesaid, you will need to have it headspaced. Might as well rebarrel now
