What kind of sling?
Sorry about this but i dont know the technical terms so just bear with me. I just bought a new rifle, (not an AR) and it came with sling loops, the loops are like that of an AR. On my hunting rifle i have a sling and it conects to swivel sling points (its like a bolt head with a hole in it) which i prefer. I want to put a sling on my new gun like the one on my hunting rifle (a hunting type of sling) I dont want a tactical sling that would go on an AR. Can i buy a sling that attaches to that bolt head hole and put it in the loop or not, and if not what would the type of sling i want be called? Again i am sorry and thank you.

If the loops on your new rifle are large enough to fit the sling, yes any hunting style sling will also attach to it. Usually you buy the sling and swivels separately and put them together. Your new gun is very likely made to fit the standard sling without the need for swivels. My Ruger 77 is the only gun I have that does not need swivels.
