Here is my little corner of the house. I actually remember pulling this thread up many moons ago when I was in the design phase - pretty much took a combination of the rails another poster used and the under bench reciever system.
I thought about the rails, but figured it would be a channel for everything to get caught in and I would constantly be cleaning. The problem with the under bench system is storage of tools you aren't using - the long tubes take up a lot of space. So I have a modular system - every tool is on the same size block and can be moved to any location in the bench in any combination (with the exception of the Dillon swager). It gives me the flexibility of the rail system (almost) and the modularity of the under bench system. Anyhoo, here is my bench - these pics were taken a while back, so it's already somewhat different. I still need to add storage shelving under about 3/4 of it and shelving above it as well to utilize some empty wall space. Not bad for only having part of the master closet. |

Here is my bench. I just got it put together a couple of weeks ago. I built it from 2x4s, 2x6s, 2x8s, and 1x4s.

Finally got mine done. I went from this
To this The MEC press, grinder, and vise are mounted on bases so they can be attached to the right side of the bench when needed. ONe of the best parts is that I only had to buy the lumber for the main bench, I had everything else. |

Guys, some of ya'll make me sick to my stomach with these amazing setups lol. I was lucky enough to get a single stage lee from my grandfather a couple years ago. It looks like it was built in the 70's-80's but works like a charm. All I did was mount mine on a Craftsman rollaround until I decide to buy a house. But you guys have already got my wheels turning!!!

My little hobbie bench. I probably should have cleaned it up a little before taking the pic but what the heck.

Arch308, that looks a lot cleaner than most I have seen. Well organized, a great set up.

I used the OSB instead of sheetrock for it's durrability and willingness to hold screws and nails. As soon as the weather warms a bit more, I think your suggestion of paint is in order! Thaks for looking. BTW, I have room for another press, don't ya think?

Hey!!! Great stuff guys. I love looking at everyone's ideas. Seems to be 118 ways to skin that same cat. Besides help the night shift pass.
I really liked the one with the rifle rack behind the loading bench. I would love to have that. Unfortunately, I only have the guns I have because I dont let them be viewed all at the same place at the same time. Wife thinks I only have 2 or 3 of them. You know the rules right? If its been in the house more than 24 hours it gets reclassified as a " Its been there" Item. " Where did that gun come from? whaa that gun? Yea that gun! ahhhh dont know its been there." Here is my loading stuff. I keep taking over more and more of the wifes scrap booking room. Starting from right to left: Last year I found this real nice heavy steel work bench. Since I collect new presses when ever I find one I dont have. I needed a better( space saving way) to mount them. This works great. It has a 1/4 inch steel top and I just drill and tap new mounting holes. Easy on and easy off. One day its set up for the Hornady. The next I may have the MEC or one of my old Lymans on it. I love it. Best 20 bucks I ever spent. Then you have the Powder magazine. I wish I still had some spare room in it. Its funny how stuff magically expands to fill space. Main loading area. All built from old shelving out of a closed bar. Cost 10 bucks. Lube station. More storage. Casting is done out in the barn. You guys are giving me ideas. I like the rolling reloading bench and some of the portable ones to take to the range. |

I love looking at these and picking out little details.
Pause for..., a couple questions! 1) The toaster oven. ?! Is this re-purposed for something, or is it just a convenient tool for warming up a hoagie at the load bench? 2) Lee Classic Cast set-up for a lefty. Yet the Lee turret press is set up for righty. I'm thinking you could switch that one, too.

Re: Pictures of your reloading bench/equipment
Here are my two benches they are set up in an old deer lease trailer.
I dont use anymore not as fancy as yalls and the benches are hand made out of scrap wood I had but they are solid. The single stage is a lyman crusher 2,I just got it today. The pic with the oven is case prep I use the oven to dry the cases after the ultrasonic 235 for 20 mins and the red box is my powder box. Last edited by swcc22; March 17, 2013 at 01:34 AM. |

I am a big time pan luber. I have not found a better way to heat the bullets and the lube at the same time. Heat them up and cut them out. Stick a new one in the same hole. Rinse and repeat. You can even pan lube hard lube like Blue Angle. But cutting them out will kinda kick you butt. As for my lefty/ righty press mounting. I prefer to work seated between the presses. I am amberdextrus, one way is just as good as the other. makes it easy. Last edited by A pause for the COZ; March 17, 2013 at 02:02 AM. |

Inside my 14x24 Morgan Building. Have AC and Heating on opposite wall. Here in Monahans, TX it gets too hot in the summer and cold in the winter but it is sure fun to get out of the house into my little sanctuary. My first Great Grandson is the one who helped me build it and he plays out there when we go out to Pappys Shed. Life can't get much better than that.
