Combat/Tactical Gloves?

I got to thinking the other day. I was thinking of getting some shooting gloves. Mainly for the reasons of it is 30F outside or below, and holding metal gets cold fast. Also, some guns get hot fast. So the main purpose of these gloves would be for protection against the heat/cold. Just wondering. Looking for something along the lines that 5.11, Blackhawk, etc sell. Never bought these things before, so what would be good? I'd spend, probably $30 or so, maybe more if they're worth it. Open to suggestions and recommendations.

They are lightweight thin leather. Great for protection. They have pin holes in them so your hands can breathe. The trick is getting the right size. A nice tight fit. I wear them under my thicker polyester gloves when it's real cold. They have a velcro strap so I can slide my outer polyester gloves right off in an emergency and these won't move. I think they work real well and I'll probably get another pair when they wear out. I honestly don't remember where I got them. $50.00 seems a little steep though. You may have to shop around a little. And again if you could try them on to make sure they fit snug (before you buy) that would be best.

Just found these on the internet. They appear to be different because they don't have the pin holes. Not sure if thats good or not.

TBH I use the same type of gloves for shooting as I do for riding, I've been using these for years, never had any problems with them.

You got me looking for a pair for my wife now.

I would go with the ones that have pin holes. I will tell you though I have not tried any others.

Outside the box. try bicycle gloves at your local shop for fit an feel. Not expensive. I use for both hands.

I agree with kayak45. I like full-finger bicycle gloves. My current set is this:

I like football gloves, I get them at Dunhams for around 20 buck a pair. Medium weight, durable and a good feel on the grip. My current pair are Nike's and I use them in competition shoots in all seasons. I also see a lot of guys using gloves made by Mechanix, which I think you can find at Home Depot.
