My first Question

I was looking through the past post and did a search but nothing came up.

why is it that there is no discussions on using ACCURATE ARMS No. 9 powder for a .44MAG. Is this a good powder, Is it a clean powder? I bought 1 pound of it and was looking for opinions on it. Let me know what you all think about this powder?

good question, mark, sometimes you need to look around a lot.
i use AA5 and 7 and have a lot of great results from both. I unfortunately have not used #9 yet, but may try it for my 357 sometime soon,,,, after some 296, supposedly that is reported to be great for magnums.
Welcome!.... a Newbie here to the forums myself...

well according to the LEE reloading manual its has one of the highest pressures. Its listed up there with the 296. Lee book don't give any data for the 296. I have about 500 made up with a LSWC with 19 grs. I am not too much into accuracy but will let you know how feels, how dirty it is and if it will hit what i am pointing at. Hopefullly more will chime in on this.

What bullet are you using?????

Accurate Powder has a loading guide on line
http://www.accuratepowder.com/reloading.htm

According to their data, maximum loads can be from 17.5 to 23.6 grains with #9 depending on bullet.

Lee's reloading manual says 19.4grains start never exceede 21.7 gives 1550 fps out of there test gun (load data 8-13-1999) Look for newer data Maybe also at that speed I would reccomend a gas check or you will be cleaning a lot
