J P Sauer and Sohn help
http://s56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...alley/JPSauer/
My most recent acquisition was a JP Sauer SxS in 16 ga. I'm told it dates to Jan of 1958. I'm not sure what model it is, I think it's a model 60 but I'm not too sure. Any help would be appreciated. I'm also trying to get a general idea of its worth. The gun is in excellent condition with bright bores, full case colors, and not a single nick in the wood. |

I had the exact same gun. Mine was more worn then yours but still in very good shape. I did a complete refinishing on it. Turnbull did the case colors and I did the wood and barrels. Unfortunately post war Sauers arent worth as much as the pre-war guns. I got a little over $900 for mine and mostly because guy liked the case coloring. I would keep checking Gun Broker to see what they are going for.
