does anyone have any expirence with either Precision Gunworks and/or the Ed Brown Bobtail m/s housing? i am sending my kimber custom for a full custom job, to be used for daily carry in the cool part of the year.

Ed Brown makes great stuff, and their bobtail MSH is a nice touch. If you're sure you want a bobtail, then it would be a great addition, as far as increasing comfort during carry.

what are the negatives to installing an Ed Brown Bobtail? weaker frame, shorter spring life, ect.?

Dear Shooter:
No, there are no problems associated with the bob-tail - I've installed several of them. There is no change in any springs, assembly or disassembly - the pin is just moved up and the rear of the frame ground off to match the bobtail - it is a simple job you can do yourself with his installation tool.

if nobody has any expirence with John Harrison and Precision Gunworks i will go for it. though it will be a while, as i am deploying for a seven month tour. this will be my welcom home gift to myself. thank you for advice on the Ed Brown Bobtail.
