practical rifle course(VA)

I just completed the inaugural course by the Senior Firearms Instructors at the NRA range in Fairfax, VA. I learned quite a bit, and feel a lot more confident in my AR-15 handling skills. It was a course given over a 3 day period. It cost about $150 (not including ammo) and I think well worth the effort. The instructors were knowledgeable and patient and very thorough. Anytime one spends with instructors is time well spent. I've taken one course at Blackwater and this most recent experience is somewhat superior in that I was able to sleep in my own bed and I didn't have to eat Blackwater's lousy food. One drawback is the limitations of the range. At Blackwater one can practice long range engagements, while at the NRA you are limited to 50 yards. Anyone interested in honing their skills should call them up and find out about future courses
