I am just about to enter the third month of the waiting period/background check on my first class 3 purchase, anyone know what the average wait is these days? My gunshop has told me not to worry, which I'm not, I'm just hot to get my hands on my new toy.

The most common times I hear are in the 60 to 90 day range. Occasionally you hear of some in the 40 to 50 range.

My first one cleared in 48 days. My second one took a little over a year. Average has been around 90 days. Overall 60 to 120 days.
