Well, it depends on the obvious variables the actual firearm, clothing, season, environment. It could vary from pants pocket , jacket pocket, IWB or OWB holsters.

When at business strong side slightly towards the front in a fobus owb and ankle rig. Also spare mag on weak side.
When out and about pocket carry or smaller pistol in front of my pants slightly to strong side. It is not recommended one carry behind the hip in South Africa. If your gun prints over here you will be robbed of it and killed. |

I usually carry my LCP in my left pocket in an Uncle Mikes. All other carry guns are at 8 o'clock in an OWB holster (I'm a lefty). My holster of choice for my other carry guns is a Galco Fletch holster.

I usually pocket-carry in 511 Tactical shirts, but also carry in a cross-draw OWB holster. I've tried, but just can't do the IWB method.

Working in Uniformed Patrol with the LE agency I serve: Left hip, since I'm a southpaw. Off-duty: Same exact location, but in a IWB concealed by my shirt. I subscribe to the theory that if you always carry in the same spot, there's no confusion about where to put your hand when trouble finds you.

Depends on the gun and attire.
LCP front strong side pocket. CW9 OWB strong side 3:00. 442 OWB strong side 3:00 or in strongside zippered winter coat pocket. 5" 1911 OWB strong side 3:00. Just tried it last week and it was not too bad. (It was a little long and reminded me why I started carrying lightweight guns.) Oddly enough on a side note, the 5" 1911 carried better than my old MK9 used too. (In all fairness the 1911 was in a very high rise holster and I'm more accustomed to ccw than when I occassionly carried the MK9.)

Deep concealment IWB G36 (unchambered) 7 o'clock with a clipdraw.
Usually, an LCR at 7:30/8:00 (southpaw here) in an owb pancake or if pants or jacket permits in my front left pocket in a quick draw pocket holster I made. |

On the strong side = Colt Combat Government Model or Springfield Professional 5" 1911 Pistol, carried in the 3:30 position, in a 5 Shot Leather ISB IWB holster.
On the support side = Spare mag in a Galco single mag pouch, Taser C2 in a Tuff Products nylon holster. Usual dress = Cargo shorts and an untucked polo/golf shirt. |
