Savage Axis .308

Greetings from a newbie. I'm a long time reader, but this is my first post.

I am looking for an extended mag for my Savage Axis .308, as lots of folks are. Are there any available, and if not, this is my question.
Can a 7.62 X51 extended mag be modified to fit the Savage ?

Thanks and God Bless the U S A !!

First off, thanks for the replies !
I contacted SharpShooter Supply several weeks ago and was told by Lisa that their mags would not work on the Axis

I have just contacted Dark Eagle, so hopefully I will find something there !

Thanks again, and as always.....
GOD Bless America !!!

I seriously doubt you'll find anything for the Axis. Not many folks will spend nearly as much for a couple of magazines as the gun cost, so no need for anyone to make them.

Regardless of the cost of the rifle, it's still pretty much dead on accurate out of the box in a .308 round. I'd be more than happy to put it up against most rifles that double it's original cost. I'm a firm believer that just because something costs more, and has a "brand" name doesn't make it worth the extra money. This Savage proves me right once again

That being said, I'm back to my original question.....extended mags or modifications to existing .308 mags to fir the Savage ?

Still looking for an extended mag or anyone who can retrofit a 7.62 x 51 mag for the Axis.

Hate to say it, but I think you are barking up a empty tree. Don't get me wrong, they are very accurate rifles that are budget friendly. Just remember that most budget friendly rifles have little to no aftermarket support.
