Starting to reload 223 62gr 68gr I have a ?
What power would you use and what bullets.
I want a clean powder and bullets that are FMJ and JHP 62 rg and 68 gr Any info would be great since we have a gunshow coming up and I want to get powder and primers to avoid Haz.Shipping Costs. |

I agree that Varget will be good choice. You might consider H-335 for the
lighter bullets.

Varget should work just fine for plinking with a carbine.. I had better results with RL-15, in rounds for which I needed better accuracy. Several of us who shoot at the same clubs and matches here found that Varget tends to have a lot of density variation from lot to lot (not a real bad problem if you keep track of it) but more disturbing, between grains in the same can. Both are similar, otherwise. Whichever one is on sale is the one to buy for a carbine.

You better get to looking for bullets, powder is easy to get, its the bullets that seem to be in short supply, atleast for large qty. Rick H... |
