Getting ready for next year.........
Louann & I went over to Baker County today to help ( we were not much! ) and learn ( did a lot of this ) at a prescribed burn on a hunt club owned by a friend.
First time we've actually been at one from start to finish, everything from the "Prescription" for the burn and then the nuts and bolts of actually doing it. Very interesting......and at one point when the wind shifted causing the fire to jump a fire break, exciting in a bad way. A couple of the pictures show the same spot about 10 minutes apart.....the others are just random. What will be truly interesting is how it will look in a couple of weeks. Before... After... Random pictures......... |

I remember prescribed burns a lot from growing up in FL. But you know something? Every other state I have been stationed in seems to not do it.
