I don't know if this should go under handguns or not, but I'll start here. Is it possible to get a steel frame for my Sig 229 .40 without buying the P229 Sport model? Thanks.

Apart from the P230 and P232 (both .380 acp), I wasn't aware that Sig had steel framed guns. Anybody more current than myself? Admittedly, I've never touched a sigpro.

Gary: The recently introduced Sport models of the P229 and P220 have stainless steel frames. I believe that a P226 Sport model is also forthcoming. Besides their steel frames, these models also have extended controls and expansion chamber compensators.
As for whether these frames are available, I have no idea. The only way to find out is to ask SIGarms. |
