Anyone know why The High Road is off line?
Whenever I try to open it, I get a 'database error'

Yes. The database server software has a bug in it that caused, among other things, very, very slow posting operations (eg, it took up to 10 minutes to post some messages). As I understand it the bug is repaired but the operations necessary to ensure the database is not damaged are taking a very long time; its a huge database. There is no projection as to when it will be back up - it could take as long as next weekend.

I love that forum, but I swear, it crashes more often than any other forum that I'm on.
