I am having problems with MecGar
brand 1911 .45acp magazines.

To date four of them have cracked
at the left rear top where the metal
curves over the follower.

This has only happened with MecGar mags,
but has happened to four of the six I own.
All of them are seven rounders.

I've found the MecGar website. All emails appear
to be sent to Italy. I cannot find an operational
MecGar link in the U.s.

Has anyone else had a similar problem with the
magazines? Does anyone know of a domestic location
where one might send the mags for repair/replacement?

Have you tried the store where you bought them?

Got them at a gun show.

But they were new in the wrapper.
Purchased a half dozen of them at the
time;about 18 months ago. They've worked
flawlessly, but the durability leaves a
lot to be desired compared to the Wilsons,
Pachmayrs,Shooting Stars, and Metalforms
all of which are older and have seen more
use.
