870 Buttstock question
Are there any aftermarket replacements for the thick rubber buttstock endcap? I think if this thing was smaller or reduced it would help fit much better. I want to avoid purchasing a whole new buttstock!

Which version (wingmaster/express) is it? Guage? Wood or syn??
Seems to me that you could simply remove the recoil pad and put the plastic butt pad on for a couple of bucks..

It is the original black synthetic stock. It is a 870 HD. Where would I find a plastic endcap, Remington? Brownells? Thanks!!

Look at the Choate shotgun stocks, they have adjustable LOP from 13" on up, I think stock is around 13.5 or 14 on the 870s if I remember right. I REALLY dont think you will like a plastic buttpad, you will be "BIGMIKE with SORE SHOULDER" in a few rounds. I had a gun with a plastic pad only and it tore me up real fast.
