Barrel shank and thread?
I have a Lever conversions in mind.
At this stage I am just pricing up. I don't know much about shank size and thread. What shank size and thread would fit the following: Winchester 1886 Marlin 1895 The 1886 or 1895 to 40-65! Do any other copies fit Winchester models e.g. Chiappa, Rossi or Uberti? So who make barrels that would suit any f the above rifles, especially the Marlin 1895 (A Winchester 1886 is hard to come by!) Is this barrels suitable for fitting to a Marlin 1895? http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/tapered...40-65-caliber/ |

Marlin uses the same shank for all members of the 336 family (336, 444, 1895, and XLR).
12 TPI square thread 0.700-0.715" minor diameter 0.775-0.780" major diameter I know of nothing else that is compatible with the Marlin threads.
