Case Lube

I have always been told to use case lube every time I resize. Is this always necessary? Are there any new dies out that don't require lube? Is this a really stupid question?

I still use the lube everytime I resize, but the stuffs just really a pain to use.

If you're talking straight wall pistol cases, and you use carbide sizer dies, then NO, you don't need case lube. If you're talking bottleneck pistol or rifle, then YES, you do need to use a case lube. Hope that helps.

What are you reloading? What kind of quanity?If your loading very small number you can use a lube pad (which I hate using myself). If your loading a number of cases use the case spray lubes they work great.
If you are reloading straight wall cases use carbide dies and you won't have to lube cases. Even when I use the carbide dies I lube about one in every 200 cases (you don't have to, just makes it a little easier).
Oops, I guess Fred said about the carbide stuff already.
