Where Can I find Reasonable 45/70 Brass?
I've looked everywhere than I can think of, and I can't find any reasonable 45/70 Brass. I've tried Midway, Midsouth, Natchez, and Cabelas. All of them have overpriced Winchester and Remington Brass.
Anyone know where to get some once fired? |

Sorry. Not gonna find it. Sometimes bulk Starline and RP are reasonable but you might as well realize that most .45-70 shooters are reloaders or know someone who wants it so you're not gonna get their brass. Only consolation is that with mild loads quality .45-70 brass outlasts almost any bottleneck rifle case. Gotta consider it an investment in a lasting product, not a component that needs constant replenishment.

Afternoon Riverwalker76,
Was just looking at 45/70 brass yesterday, and noted that the brass from Natchez was a fair amount less in cost then the brass from Cabela's. I was just checking catalog prices, so don't know about availability. Hope to have a 45/70 in the near future, so will be dealing with the same issue. Bullets, well, will probably make my own. Keep em coming! Crusty Deary Ol'Coot |

Given that my original 200 pieces of Rem NP 45-70 brass has gone over 2k rounds (and I'm down to 160pcs), I'd say you should get in line and pay the price. My brass would last longer if I weren't crimping so hard with a Lee FCD.
