Fireforming 444marlin to casull
Ok fellas the time has come. My last batch of 444 marlin brass that I used in my 454 Casull as shotshells has expired. Before I could ask the makings from my uncle who now has passed on.
So now I have already cut down the brass but my question is how to fireform to fit the chamber for my casull? All the threads on here are about firforming rifle brass with cornmeal and such. So any info would be awesome and greatly passed on to my young ones. |

This should help. There are some other links in this thread as well.
444 Marlin as 410 brass It is for 410 loads but it works the same. Be sure you anneal the cases properly before you fireform as it will greatly improve case life. Cornmeal or Quaker Oats seems to be the preferred material.

CH,
Thank you for the link. Very helpful. I read up and reloaders are using 8gr of herco. The closest powder I have would proably be Power pistol and AA#9. I have no use for herco in my line of reloading. Would it be wise to jump up to AA#9 and use 6-7grs of powder?? |

AA#9 would be too slow. Power Pistol would be better.
