I just put a stainless Para Expert in layaway at my local shop. A bit over 600, sharp looking pistol. I have had 2 or 3 blue or parked RIAs great guns too.
But I really like stainless steel pistols. |

I tried it out and bought it. Same price as the full size gun. In this neck of the desert, they are going for $699. I got a $35 veteran discount for the gun.

I have the Springfield MC Operator and although this is out of your price range SA does offer bugdet models as mentioned before and as far as the RIA,,,for entry level 1911 medicine,,,,,,You won't be disappointed.
What ever you decide from bottom to top of the line, go with the Wilson Combat magazines. Any mag problems you can think about will go away no matter what model 1911 you shoot. |

I picked up a Colt 1991A1 5" Government Stainless .45ACP for $600.00 used
and it's been flawless. Look around for used ones you can find some pretty good deals. I also picked up a Springfield Armory Champion Stainless with all the bells and whistles for $650.00 |
